Absolutely perfect golfing weather was on offer for the 31 starters in the first round of the Araroa Cup on Wednesday.
Sara Porritt had a brilliant round to win the competition, with 41 stableford points. There were plenty of other high scores on the day as well, including Pauline Mills and Harriet Byelich on 39 points, and Ann Percy, Sue Virtue, and Anne-Maree Harland on 38 points.
